How many players can play together in multiplayer?

4 players if you're doing peer to peer, aka just starting a game with MP allowed. You have to buy/rent a server if you want a dedicated server for anything higher than 4 total players.

you can also make you computer into a dedicated server if you beleave its strong enough, go to library and make sure tools is selected as search option on the drop down menu, then search pal world and you should see pal world dedicated server, run it and most of the time you are good to go, you may need to figure out how to make a port available for connecting to,

while this is a option i dont actually recommend it if your not already familiar with how servers work, and would suggest finding a server hosting sight with good reviews instead, you can find several which host for about 10 dollars a month
