Can't drop or destroy key items?

So I crafted 2 feed bags, hoping to give one of them to my co-op partner. Alas, it seems that I can neither split the pile nor drop it, so that I'm now stuck carrying around two feed bags. Is there a trick to this or is this just bugged?

Doubt it, you could try dragging it in to storage but the best way to do this is just build it and let them claim it off the production line

I did exactly the same thing with 2 feed bags. Looking for a fix. Its stupid that you cant split them or put Key Items in a chest
