PalWorld is a Scam

Bought this game for my friend and I to play on launch date. I was able to log in fine, my friend received an EOS login error that prevents him from going online. This is due to the developers deciding to block certain accounts i would guess, as the company and epic games who just made tens of millions of dollars on launch cant get enough servers up for hosting and the developers arent allowing for people to host their own servers for co op outside of mutiplayer. Tried on Game Pass and had the same issue.

With no luck in sight we went to discord eventually and found the PalWorld discord. We spent hours and hours the first day of launch requesting help on an issue that was and still is happening to numerous players not allowing them to play anything but a singleplayer server which they cant migrate from. No one could answer us, not discord mods, not admins, not developers. Instead we were ignored until eventually they were fed up and muted us. No answers other than its the first day and to refund. Multiple times told to refund. wow.

The next day comes around and they still never made an announcement about trying to fix the issue we and many other players are having. They mad announcements for all other issues except this one that we wanted brought to attention, and they posted the announcement 10 minutes after muting us. Do you think it's a coincidence they didnt address that issue but the other ones brought up in the same time span? We brought our issue up multiple times and made it clear which you can see on discord. On top of this, they have banned my friend from discord for no reason and gave me a 24 hour mute when i went in there asking for answers again after seeing nothing had been addressed in almost a day.

So far this company is running a very toxic discord and has no means to support or address anyone in the community about ongoing concerns when they literally have a massive chunk of the userbase suffering from this isssue. I wouldnt spend money on this game until they fix it because odds are you can't play!

Hate to break it to you but the game clearly says EARLY ACCESS on the Steam page. It wasn't a full release. Steam is also having posting issues on the forums. So it may or may not be related.

this isn't a scam issue. others have reported it and some have fixed it. read some other posts a bit man.

This fix worked for me: Go to the location of the game's .exe file, right-click, properties, click compatibility tab, check the "run as administrator" box, apply/ok and launch the game.

How is it a scam if they are telling you to refund? I wouldn't be surprised if your friend has a VAC ban and thats why they cant login or a potato computer. Unlike developing for a console that as concrete specs PC developers have to try to resolve issue for the multitude of PC builds out there. They gave you a refund option, either your friend takes it or write it as a loss.

EA means signing on for bugs. Its in the boot disclaimer, its on the store page. Don't insult a developer for bugs when they told you THERE WILL BE BUGS. Also They are swamped with all the attention the game is getting withe resolving bugs AND server stability for a small team. Sorry your ticket is not at the top of their queue.

There's no need to water down the word "scam" anytime something doesn't work right. It's Early Access, it won't run right for everyone, so just refund and move on. They aren't going to address or fix every problem instantly.

Around 800k people apparently have access to the game. Some outliers may have complications as the forums are not flooded with posts like yours.

Your guess would be wrong. It's that EOS just couldn't handle the sudden influx of players, this happens on any game that uses EOS It's almost as if Epic needs to upgrade their crap instead of spending money on exclusives.
