Failed to EOS login. Error. Timeout/ toxic discord support
i keep getting the failed to EOS login error. I went to the discord for help. Literally the most toxic experience ive had in my 26 years of gaming. I was attacked my a mob for literally asking questions on how to fix the issue. Which is incredibly odd since i was asking for help in the palworld help section. I tried to ask the devs, and then was attacked by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ discord mod who told me not to try to talk to them. So, i asked who i should try to contact, low and behold he said he didnt know and that as far as he knows there is no support, then literally banned me. NEVER have i been attacked for asking for help on how to get a game to work. No one helped, and apparently its player driven support. But, if they cant answer your question, they will get mad at you like childish parents do, and attack and ban you. really weird for a game thats made over 60 million in 24 hours with a 4 man dev team, are servers and support that hard of an ask?. If anyone can help id appreciate it, ive uninstalled, re-downloaded, spammed opening and closing, ran all apps as admin, not sure what else to try......

I have done some research on this and this is what I could come up with:

  1. Change your DNS address and restart your router. This is a classic "turning off then on" an electronic to make it work fine again.
  2. Check the integrity of your game through Steam. Go to your library and select Palworld, then go to properties and you should find the option to scan and repair your files. Try to clear the Steam cache just in case.
  3. Run Palworld-Win64-Shipping.exe directly, someone reported that the multiplayer mode worked fine for them after doing this.
  4. Just wait. Normally, an EOS error is server-side and if you cannot connect, it might be because the server is overloaded.

I'm hoping this was helpful. :)
EOS? does the game install that stuff even when bought on steam? even when not playing online?

Also heard you can run it as admin and it works.

Someone needs to make a guide for this. Because I don't have the game, I can't make one on my own.

this did work as far as me being able to access multiplayer so ty. still having server issues which obviously cant be fixed so ill have to wait. again thank you very much. more helpful than their discord
Run Palworld-Win64-Shipping.exe directly, someone reported that the multiplayer mode worked fine for them after doing this.

This worked for me
Some ways I found that fixed it:
1) change power settings to balanced or performance
2) if using a laptop try playing without the power connected
3) limit the fps to 60 or lower and restart the game
4) lower the graphics settings and restart the game

I got this error on a few computers and the one sharing factor is they were all laptops with hardware around the minimum required specs to run the game. My assumption is the game is not that well optimized given its early release it needs whatever it can resource wise. After lowering the quality, changing the power consumption settings, and disconnecting the laptops preventing the charging process in the background the game stopped showing the EOS login failure.

If this error still persists esp on desktop:
1) close all apps including steam
2) uninstall
3) open steam as admin, make sure it's fully closed in task manager
4) reinstall
5) run palworld as admin
6) if still persists try any of the steps you can previously like lowering the graphics settings

Hope this helps
A reinstall fixed this for me. Only appeared after the recent update - which is weird because it was already updated. Every now and then I've noticed some Steam games do an update when there isn't one. An update of the full game.

Reinstalled worked.
Sorry to bump the thread, but do you guys know how to remedy this on Steam Deck? Oddly enough I can access dedicated official and community servers, but booting up a private world with the MP setting on just refuses to boot the world.
Similar problem with EOS. I'm trying to reinstall the game, I hope it will help. Since all previous methods did not help me connect to friends using the server code
EOS API login, needed for EAC and crossplay, when used naively, whould fail if Antivirus, VPN or just slightly larger latency would be an issue, or just when nasal demons would sneeze on a blue moon.
Running as admin (very unsafe) or running outside of Steam (may result in Windows Filtering Platform or Antivirus act differently) do put a bandaid at it which may help. Btw, any split-channel VPN may totally diable EOS connectivity even while traffic isn't routed through VPN - such VPNs redirect DNS traffic and that enough for failure, name of server will be resolved incorrectly. For ssame reason, your ISP cn be the the origin of failure, then you can't do anything.

What's weird the game attempts it only on startup, which isn't recomended way to do that for aforementioned reasons. OS also needs time to react on what is going on with new process. Second, EOS login neede only for crossplay, but even if you have that disabled, ALL network play, even oover LAN, is disabled too. That's an oversight, born from idea "EOS is always available and never failed on my PC. Developer." Nothing network-based is always available or infallibe and EOS also got legal limits where it is available.

Purchase the game instead of pirating it I heard that works.
