There's enough merit with some of the designs for a lawsuit to make it to court.

HOWEVER, the odds of Nintendo winning aren't huge IMO. It's pretty obviously a parody, and all Pocket Pair's lawyers would have to do is successfully argue that point (which would be easy for any competent lawyer). The most likely thing to happen if Nintendo did win would be Pocket Pair having to redesign some monsters.

Lawsuit is enough to kill the game, even if they end up winning. Steam is forced to shutdown store page until its finished, which could last YEARS. Same happened with myth of empires when snail games sued them.

And like half or more of the "pals" in this game are literal copy paste from pokemons just with changed name.

Nintendo is know for its lawsuits against anything that looks even little pokemon or any othe their title.

they have signed a gamepass deal with Mircosoft i think if MS legal team Ok'd it to be on gamepass the game will be fine. I quite sure they inspected this game for copy righted material considering how its being advertised ahead of time.

as a gameboy myself born in '86 ive played all pokemon games, except for the last few ones on the switch, i tried the one that came before Arceus, and i found that it really suckes and could do so much better. (edit not only could, they should, looking at how big the franshise is, i cant believe they accepted the last pokemon titles to be like they are)
palworld alone the first 10 minutes were better than the last 5 titles of the real pokemon games.

To be fair, it is entirely Pokemon's creators own faults for literally being so lazy for the past decade that they couldn't be bothered to make a proper online cash cow, themselves. That’s a matter of opinion, but sales are factual and objective. Everyone in here is talking like this game is the Pokemon killer and I’d be surprised if it amounts to even 50% of what Scarlet/Violet did.

Gamepass will help its numbers, but not enough.
