And Nintendo is most likely going to have an uphill battle with a lawsuit unless they're willing to dump a lot of money for little return. I'm pretty sure the company that developed Palworld already has access to a talented enough legal team to make this bold move against Nintendo in the first place.
Even if it was a straight up ripoff, I'd rather support ppl actually putting thought and creativity into their game. Pokemon as an IP is the largest and richest franchise on planet earth. About time they see some games with potential..
HOWEVER, the odds of Nintendo winning aren't huge IMO. It's pretty obviously a parody, and all Pocket Pair's lawyers would have to do is successfully argue that point (which would be easy for any competent lawyer). The most likely thing to happen if Nintendo did win would be Pocket Pair having to redesign some monsters.
Slime Rancher.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
Monster Sanctuary.
Ni No Kuni.
Monster Hunter Stories.
Digimon
Jade Cocoon
Nexomon
Try harder OP
And like half or more of the "pals" in this game are literal copy paste from pokemons just with changed name.
Nintendo is know for its lawsuits against anything that looks even little pokemon or any othe their title.
"Nintendo’s tolerance for fan games is notoriously low, with the company sending multiple DMCA takedown notices from its lawyers to at least 500 fan games, including Pokemon Uranium, a title that was in development for nine years, as well as a Metroid 2 remake called AM2R, back in 2016"

So yeah, there is quite high chance they will be trying to take this down.
anyone else saying otherwise are just ignorant.
Even in it's 0.1 EA state it feels so much better and more polished then the last few pokemon games.
