controller map issues

i have been playing the game on controller, as it's felt more comfortable for me, but i have an issue that whenever i open the map, it tries to immediately scroll downward hard, making it feel nearly impossible to fast travel. anyone else?

Same homie, goes to the right for me. Tried upping the dead zone on my controller and it has no effect. Maybe you could try that? Clearly a bug though. Hope this gets seen

Sometimes games do weird things with the analog sticks if you have other input devices plugged in, like a flight stick or racing wheel. Aside from that, it's possible Steam's own controller support is doing something to cause it. I've been using a PS5 controller as an Xbox one through DS4Windows, and everything has been fine, fwiw.

just found a potential fix to this, i think. open your steam overlay in game or right click the game in your library and select manage -> controller layout and open the controller settings. from there hit edit layout then select/open/click the joysticks tab. next hit the gear next to the left/right joystick dropdown, go to the dead zones tab/section, hit the drop down there and select default. i've never messed with dead zones through steam so this worked for me. hope this helps someone.

OMG thank you so much. This has been driving me crazy and I have about 250 hours into this game. I built a dedicated server and I’ve been trying to make adjustments for the longest time. And this fixed the issue. Thank you so much. If you ever want to join a fun friendly server, let me know.
