Xbox game pass or steam?
Hello I got a question, many people are saying that the Steam version is more updated than the gamepass of Xbox for Pc, I don't find sense in that but... just to make sure, is it true? Shall I get it from steam because of that?

Yes they are right. The developers have to update each storefront separately.

Steam is currently at version 0.2, Gamepass at 0.1

That of course doesn’t mean it will always be this way, but for now it’s indeed the case.

I initially played the Gamepass version and there are a few notable bugs with it. Nothing gamebreaking that I found, but rather annoying. (Inability to Rename Character/Pals, No Quit Button) I was enjoying it a lot so I decided to purchase the Steam version instead. Gamepass version apparently doesn't support DLSS either, but I have an AMD so can't confirm, but it makes sense if it was developed with Xbox in mind.

Yeah it’s an older version so stuff isn’t working correctly. Dlss isn’t active.

I'm currently playing on the pc gamepass version of palworld. We are missing features such as being able to name the player, pals, poorer quality audio and some crafting and tech tree differences. Something i suspect, although not confirmed, is that the xbox version is lacking optimisation that the steam version has, i am am struggling to run the game on the lowest settings on a 2060 and steam reviews mention the games optimisation as a strong point. Hopefully, the xbox version receives some parity soon

Things are more expensive on the xbox version too. Arrows craft as 1s instead of 3s. Crafting takes longer for some recipes. Fusing pals together requires 8 spare pals instead of 4 etc etc

supposedly Microsoft has to verify each updates so its gets updates slower up to a 5 day delay

Apparently a patch for xbox/Gamepass(?) is in the works, they're struggling to get approval from xbox. indie devs sadly have longer wait times compared to AAA
