You'd probably hate yourself for it. The size of some of the Pals and the amount on your screen at a time while at your base... you'll regret being in first person because you won't be able to see ♥♥♥♥. Especially while riding Pals, most of the ones I've seen you wouldn't be able to see where you're going while riding one.

I too would like first person mode. In Ark I switch back and forth a lot. I find only having one mode is restrictive.

No first person mode currently. I would like some camera control functionality, feels way too zoomed in... especially on ultrawide resolutions.

Having the option to switch between first and third would be neat.

Now imagine a second person mode where you control your character but you're watching from the eyes of the Pal following you, or one that wants to eat you.
