simply put to those that haven't used it, you reprogram your keyboard, so now for me when PT is running i press "delete" but game thinks its "F"

Excellent, as is tradition. Let them rebind half the keys, but hardcode the other half because reasons and logic.

If anyone needs to rebind keys that a game won't let you change, use Autohotkey. For Palworld I use this setup, copy and paste into a .ahk file and make any changes suitable to you.

You can think it's a weird setup but I have neuropathy in my fingertips, so in games I have to rebind keys so it's easier to feel what key I'm touching instead of facerolling the left side of the keyboard, so I use the right side of the keyboard with the arrow keys as my movement keys.

I will have to refund for keybind issues, left handed here, maybe i'll rebuy if it's fixed. It's tiring how many games treat left handed players as an after thought.

Was unpleasantly surprised when I found out I can't rebind rolling to my thumb buttons. :(

the most issues are the hidden key, like auto run (F key) if you play in RDFG (and T key not bindable)

I use AHK other things but I'm not rebinding some letters to others, even if it's just for the duration of running a game. I think it's pretty reasonable to expect freely bindable keys in a game today, so I returned this and I'll wait for an update, which is also super reasonable given it's early access.

Also, keys sometimes get 'stuck' when using AHK. It can make fast paced games unplayable.
