The food spoils to fast, I feel the timer should increase when food is placed in this for the Pals

Eventually it'll ask you to start farming and they'll naturally put the produce into the feed box. My Pals solely eat berries now and there is constantly 500+ in there with just 2 fields even with spoilage. Feed the Pals a single food and the rest in the fridge

Just an FYI. The timer for food is not for the stack of food. Its for the first one in the stack. if you have a stack of 20 eggs, its not all going disappear at the same time. Just because the timer doesn't reset when you add more to the stack doesn't mean it'll all expire.

To add to that if you eat one of the eggs (or any food but eggs was an example) the spoil timer resets

It's actually so forgiving it's stupid and pointless. Apart from there seemingly being no reason to make food since berries will stack up so much you'll never even need to interact with feeding or food ever again once you have the planters and waterers and gatherers to keep it going.

Ahh, that does put my mind somewhat at ease, carrying around 200+ baked berries and worrying they'll all expire if I wait too long. Thanks.

My advice setup a couple of berry plantations, you will need a pal that can water, a pal that can plant, and a pal that can harvest. After that they will pretty much take care of themselves as far as food goes so long as their path finding doesn't get stuck, (happens more then I'd like requiring the use of very open bases with pretty much no buildings outside of foundations for flat ground and a shoe box for your bed. Hopefully that gets improved because I'd like to have my pals sleep in actual barns with a roof over their heads.)

annoying part is .. Pals will put important food, which shouldnt rot into the Foodbasket, have to throw all my milk and Eggs Iam farming manualy into the Cooler... which is annyoing at some point. I know its Eearly access, hope they will implement such features like specific tasks for Pals, like only Cool the fridge, and a Prio system where to put things like Milk, and eggs into the Cooler.

if u put the food back into ur inventory then back in box itll reset the timer. its a bug but its usefull
