yeah i honestly though craftopia was out of EA aka 1.0, But i went and looked and it isn't. currently getting negative reviews too because of palworld.
It was a niche game for a niche playerbase that quickly declined.
Also, We live in times where 'most' people dont play games much longer than a few months to a year, due to the overwhelming amounts of games being released.
If a game costs only 30 dollar and more then 600.000 players are playing on steam aolone the fisrt day, it should be a sign that this is not a bad game and no brainer to play if you like the genre, not a "concern".
But hey, you do what you do making these useless threads that at least 50 peeps before you did, and i wil finnish my morning coffee and dive in again for the rest of my free saturday!
Enjoy YOUR games!
Now if they fail to continue work on the old game, then I could see a reason to complain. That would be like Fortnite Save The World essentially being canceled and given up on when Battle Royale was a success, even though their entire company only made it that far from those supporting their original game. You might say Save The World still exists, however I see no major updates to it in half a decade, and I call that dead.
edit:
it should be a sign they had good advertising
Happened with Unreal Tournament's team too when Fortnite got big, seriously bummed me out though.
And the reason is simple, Craftopia is, while impressive in it's own right, a bit too excessive in everything that it aims to be.
Last, if I was told that I paid Craftopia to be the cradle for the idea and blueprint that would then create Palworld? Well, I'm perfectly fine with having paid 30$ twice. Because, once again, Palworld is infinitely better. Not perfect, just in a completely different league than the studio's previous project.
