Can you try to put the cooler outside where there are no walls near? For me that was the only thing that triggered them
Perhaps, we noti Ed pals don't like flooring and have everything out in the open lol
After their native trait, their task priority seems to move from left to right down the attributes bar. Or so it seems from some admittedly sketchy observation...
Jolthog Cryst is a lvl 1 with cooling and only requires 2 food.
Foxcicle is a lvl 2 and 3 food.
If you -really- wanna go big, use Frostallion, a lvl 4 with 7 food. But this might be overkill.
These only have Cooling as a skill. They will only focus on this. And won't ditch the job to run do something else. And since you want them cooling constantly, aside from eating or resting, it should be all you need to use these.
I put in feedback for a priority system, where we could put a # of 1-5 on jobs, and for them to prioritize that job, and if there was no work on it, to then go for a lower # job. So hopefully that gets implemented.
This definitely can help the situation a ton, but is also not a full-fix. Depending on the temperature around your base if the Pal isn't assigned they can actually do this weird stutter cool where they walk around your base cooling down the whole area leaving the fridge behind. Had it happen a bunch with my jolthog cryst until I moved to a different location and it didn't need to "cool the base".
But yeah they need to add in some form of delegation system to trap Pals into doing X Y or Z. Was originally hoping that's what the monitoring stand did, but was oh so sad when I finally built it and saw what it functioned as xD
Jolthog Cryst works the best for that, since it only can do freezing, so it stays there all the time besides when sleeping.
I made a room. Solved all the problems. Just make a 2x2 room with a feed basket, a pal bed, a hot springs, and a cold pal of your choice. And just keep refilling the feed basket every once in a blue moon (I throw in like 500 berries) . It will never leave as long as the door is closed.
