I feel like this should be more than enough.
My GPU usage stays at a consistent 85% with all settings medium, and DLSS Performance.
I fixed mine by lowering my system res to 1080, because I run fullscreen and there is no borderless fullscreen in the game it means that if you are like me and running a 4K monitor with that res then the game trys to run in 4K. Which is why my GPU was capped.
Once I went to 1080 then the GPU calmed down even on high graphics its still chill at like 60%
I set mine to cap at 60 for the smoothest performance without sacrificing visual quality.
Ya really weird thing, I just noticed now that my GPU is back up to 90% so I assume that the update did something to effect it. Because it was chilling like 50% to 60% max. Oh well dont worry they will fix it.
Right? here i am uncappedfps at 100% than 120fps 100% we got the 90fps at a whoppin 100% usage and then the epic 60fps which, you already guessed, its 100%
Thank you! I'm a bit stingy with my power bill and was startled when I opened up my AMD software to find I've been AFKing at 300+ watts this whole time. Just changing my display res from 4k to 1440 cut the power usage by more than half on same settings (300w vs 130-150w)
This game WILL NOT lock my clock speeds to that number unless I am getting close to 120 fps.
Dlss on balanced settings on epic barring shadows and effects. Their ultra settings are light versions of Lumen effects, which are the entire reason unreal engine games have performance issues. It DOES run well for said effects.
They also seem to be the more optimized effects as I get tons of crashes at high framerates without settings being above medium. Just some insight here from someone who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with engines alot at a prior job/school. Game's still a little shaky when setting custom setting, so I just use High preset.
So anyway, by capping my mhz to 2715 (about 15 percent lower) I finally saw the game lock to full usage while in world.
Capping framerate to 82 hz also did wonders for stutters/crashes.
Irregular framerate seems to really tax the games pathing; ideally lock to 60 if youre not a frame ♥♥♥♥♥ like me.
