Computer Shutting off while playing
When trying to play the game, my computer will just turn off with no warning. The computer can run other more taxing games with no issue, but for some reason it turns itself off while running palworld. It's not a gpu / cpu issue, does anyone know what it could be or what could fix it?

Check windows event viewer. See what critical events are present.

I'd still check the temps tbh. It might not seem demanding but it's badly optimized enough to manage. Usually that or like a driver failure is the only reason you should reboot while playing something tbh.

After that I'd check your overclock settings. Could be unstable and only happen on certain cases.

It runs at the same temp as other games, so I don't think it's the temp. I'm unfamiliar with overclocks and have never tried to use them, so overclock settings should be default. But like I said, I am not at all familiar with overclocking so it could have something to do with that...

Don't think so

Where does it display critical events?

No, I started off only running it at medium settings. The AMD app actually recommends I increase the settings, but I haven't gotten to because the computer shuts down.

Always include your PC build and game settings when asking questions like this. People can only help so much with "Game makes PC shutdown."

My first thought would be check all your cords/plugs and make sure everything is plugged in all the way then check windows event viewer like Xaelon suggested.

Is your Max FPS on "No Limit?" Try limiting the FPS and see if it happens again.

Computer shutting down can be a sign of dangerous overheating, you might think that you're running games that are more resource intensive because they look more impressive, but being an indie game this isn't as well optimized.

If adrenalin tells you to increase the graphics, DON'T.

I like AMD, it's all I use, but their drivers are CRAP and Adrenalin is even worse.

Anyway, open up adrenalin, go to performance, turn on logging and the overlay so you can see exactly what's happening when it crashes.

Check your graphic setting. High setting can increase cpu/gpu temperature. Happen to my wife's computer and I had to tone down the graphic setting to low/medium and limit the fps to 60.

This happened to me as well, the only game it's ever happened with. I had my temps in the top right corner as I was playing and everything was pretty normal. Not sure what could be the issue.

Same issue here, The higher the settings the quicker the shutdown or freeze...

CPU: AMD Ryzen™ 7 7800 X3D Processor
RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 96GB DDR5 7200MT/s
GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition
MOBO: MSI X670E Steel Legend
MONITOR : Samsung 32" Odyssey Neo G8 4k UHD

Will update if i find a solution.
