How is gameplay compared to Valheim?

Just wondering if this is the right game for me. I enjoyed Valheim since I could play with my friends, build base, explore, fight things, capture things, find treasures, etc.

What is the "main gameplay loop" here like? And also, can i play with friends consistently?

Just watch some videos online. All what I can say its a bit different from Valheim. Cause graphics are much better and u fight with mobs against mobs. So... u cant compare them 1:1.
But yeah u can play with others and doing things so.. enjoy

It feels somewhat similar in terms of combat. Building is a little more simplified. I'd bet that if you enjoyed Valheim, you'll enjoy this game. If you enjoyed Ark: Survival Evolved, you'll enjoy this game. It's like ark:survival evolved merged with a valheim feel.

apart from a swung stick hurts people how is valheim and palworld combat remotely similar? on that metric tennis is similar

Valheim-lite. Less annoying. Less deadly. Bright and more relaxing.

I'd say it's pretty similar, I loved Valheim and I'm having exactly the same type of itch scratched with this.

It is much better, when you put something in a chest you don't have to go look for it again, it works more like age of empires so it is very much a good quality of life feature. You get access it from all over your base area so to speak so you don't have to carry stuff around when building or crafting, just put in a box it makes for a much better experience in the long haul.

I wish you could terraform like in valheim but other than that this is one of the best open world games ive played

Main loop is get Pals and build your base and then there will be group raids coming too they said
