Is there anyway to deactivate the Key Items?
Mainly Daedream's Necklace as with Daedream in my party that will appear besides me without calling it out to attack Pals.

This is a con for I'm trying to capture them by weakening them, but my Daedream unfortunately kills them. I was hoping I could toggle it off, but apparently you can't.

So, the only other way is to box my Daedream? Even though she's one of my best Pals to fight others with.

I really wish there was a toggle or I can at least put my Key Item away in Storage.

This. I thought having a pocket turret shooting alongside me would be great... then I needed to capture something. Only choice was to box it.

Seems like atm the only thing you can do is put that pal into the terminal

Did you try telling them to not attack? Default button is 4.

I'm using a Controller, but I'll be use to be sure to try that out next time.

controller would be R3, I've yet to try and see if that prevents the "key item" attacks though

Another work around I have found if setting it to no attack doesn't work while they are following you if you deploy them and then say don't attack they won't

So... you have to have them sent out in combat and then select "Don't Attack" to prevent them from attacking and accidentally killing?

And having them just "Follow" you around with the Key Item doesn't do anything if you pick "Don't Attack" as it's not "Active" on the field, right?

Oh boy...

Turning off pet attacks also turns off the auto attacks from pets like Daedream. I used this many times, can confirm it works.

You dont have to Summon Daedream, it works on all pets its a general command.

Ah, OK got it. Was this mentioned in-game somewhere like the "How to Play" help section or no? Would've been nice to know earlier.

Thank you for clearing that up.
Press 4 (on PC) and assign Pals to NOT ATTACK. This will also affect the ones roaming around you due to their passives (2 known pals to me do offer that kind of assistance). This will fix your issues attacking pals you want to actually capture.

just set your pals to dont attack it works for the ones deployed via key items as well
