Dismantling a Base

Does anyone know what happens when you dismantle a Base, you have the option from the map, what happens to everything we have build, is it going to be lost? I'm a little bit scared of trying in out, figure I'd ask here to see if anyone has tried it,
since my first base sucks, and some of the Pals keep getting stuck becasue I build it in the worst place! I wanne redo it on a different spot.

Yeah I am at lvl 10 actually, started another base somewhere else now, which is way better, so I wanne get rid of my first Base and build it somewhere else, I just dont wanne lose everything I've build there, or the Pals that are there

I dismantled my Base because i realized setting up by some ruins was poor strategy... They interfere with building being buildable or not too much and thus waste space.
So what happened was that nothing i had made during that time was destroyed and all my chests became locked until i placed another base down.
This made moving my base too cumbersome to deal with because i had a lot of items and whatnot to move over to the new place and now they were locked until i could build another Base in their vicinity.

So it basically felt like i was ♥♥♥♥ out of luck and so i've dealt with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ start up base until i can make a second one and move my ♥♥♥♥ around freely.

Haha, I know right! so far from what I have found out is that everything that has to be build inside the base will be destroyed, no idea if you get those materials back, which is the thing I'd like to know most of all... and everything that can be build outside of the base circle will stay, and you wont lose your Pals either, but I cant confirm it 100%, it's just something I read just now while looking for info.

So basically, what your saying, is you must move everything over, dismantle all the other stuff BEFORE dismantling the base item itself (most of which would be self known anyways). Basically move everything over to the new base, dismantle everything then last item dismantle the actual palbase item.

It sounds like the option exists solely so you can teleport away first instead of destroying your fast travel option and having to walk.

You have good reason to fear this choice, because once you do dismantle, you get nothing back :)

When you click disassemble you'll get a pop up explaining what will happen. You don't lose any of your Pals.

Really wish there was a better way to administrate bases. I had to dismantle everythings and rebuild somewhere else

When you dismantle a base all the pals assigned to that base will be put in storage, and anything that specifically needs to be build in a base area will be destroyed. (Statue of power, hot springs, etc) buildings and crafting stations are fine, storage and production are fine as well.

Can confirm on this one. Dismantled almost everything manually because I was scared, left a few things I didn't care about as test objects to see what would happen with them. Things that break seem to break down into their components as well, though if you had a huge base with lots of breaking things, it might be a little overwhelming.

Note that ranch, breeding area, and incubators also all get dismantled... which sucks if you happen to be in the middle of incubating some stuff and forgot. But they do drop their resources
