IS this an out of season april's fool joke?
I remember this game being announced years ago with so much artificially generated hype. And i was like:"What is this strange Pokemon rip-off".
But it still looked kinda interesting.
And now after so many times it comes out in early access?
This trend of pubs and devs asking for money upfront needs to die for good.

If it is an April fools joke, there are currently 338,000 people enjoying it right now. I guess the joke is on you OP.

Baldurs gate 3 was early access and one of the greatest games ever built, game development is taking the better part of a decade and without that additional funding less and less creative developers can take a chance at making greatness. You dont have to support a developer you have no faith in but the concept is still better than a Cyberpunk 2077 full release at full price and not having a working game till 3 years later anyway.

There is a saying in my country: "If every idiot is driving the wrong way on the highway, maybe they are not the idiots's in the end." ;)

As i said.....artifically generated hype. And let us see those numbers in a month. But sadly they will already have everyone's money.

WoooW 1 example of many from a dev team who already had an amazin track record with Divinity. Your point is invalid.

when will the trend of people complaining about a game die off,
people should complain about charging for early access.

imo every single early access game should be free to play until they are fully released.

complaining wont change a thing and not understanding the hype after pokemon became garbage is understandable, since pokemon and its rip offs arent everyones cup of tea.

but still the price is a bit too much for early access.

One doesn't exclude the other.
I'm on the opinion too that this early access trend should die off asap.
