Now, now, now. The numerous legal scholars on this forum have repeatedly assured me that as long as this game isn't turn based then it cannot be subject to copyright or trademark infringement.

The game wouldn't have made it this far if Nintendo had a problem with it. It was at the game awards. It's like saying everything fantasy is copying lord of the rings.

Those aren't 1:1. Not to mention, any artist steals. This video goes into it:

WOW the video in the first one made me even more hype for palworld! And they did the designs better than pokemon.

And who cares, Pokemon never came to PC, we finally get a breakthrough creature collecting game with online that isn't trying to rip off everyone!

Literally who cares, this game has the potential to be something great before it's official release!

And we get guns!!!!

When has Nintendo ever gave an F about PC gamers, literally pc is owned by no one, and it's not apart of the console war crap, I have no idea why nintendo never released an mmorpg pokemon game for pc. They don't even release a basic pokemon game to pc, so screw them.

The Nintendo ones are non-issues.
That fan one? That one actually is a little spooky. It is using elements of that fan design.

The first source was actually a coincidence as the fan artist had actually made their fan design AFTER the monster appeared in one of the trailers.

as for palworld ripping off Pokemon designs, good for them :microraptor:

Yea because there are tons of creature collecting games like temtem and nexomon that copy hard from pokemon too. Game is not sueable.

And what is nintendo gonna do? Sue them for a concept? And then after seeing a massive PC playerbase wanting more popular creature collecting games they just go back to ignoring pc and never releasing a single pokemon game on it.

Literally just click the tag in the store that says "creature collection" and it will show you a bunch of other games that are like pokemon, did Digimon ever get sued?

Palworld developers know that tons of PC gamers love pokemon and maybe designed some of their work around pokemon. If nintendo can't get angry at someone capitalizing on what they never have done nor want to do. So far tons of people have bought the game which is good.

If nintendo gets angry over that, than they are truly a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company.

Holy wow well nevermind what I said. That's crazy though, really goes to show you just how easy it is to make something similar to another's work by pure happenstance. That's one of the reasons why copyright is the way it is.

You also need to remember that pokemon stole a ton of their art from a game that was out 10 years before them called dragon quest so they would have no legal case to stand on.

That's a relief. I couldn't care less if they steal from Pokemon (they need the competition) but I'm not fond of them taking ideas from other indies or fakemon without at least crediting the creators.
