Defeated Wild Pals

Question regarding wild Pals. Are they dead when reduced to 0 ? Or do they get up and can still be caught later ?

EDIT : Suggestion. Let us decide if we want to harvest defeated Pals for their materials or if we want to catch the incapacitated one. Makes no sense that you can only catch concious Pals.

Well considering that you collect their meat after defeating them, I'm gonna assume they're not getting back up

You can craft a butcher knife and use it on your Palls
You can capture humans in Palballs and butcher them (Although they don't do not drop meat).
You can work the palls and humans to death as slaves.
Killing pals is the least of the games morality issues.

@DJukor I know, that's not why i asked. I don't mind that Pals die. I just want to choose if i want to kill them when defeated or if i want to force them into a Palball.

I think you missed the part where clearly in this game 0 HP would mean dead, since their is a clear accent on using Pals as food, it would be even more ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up than alot in this game if you would strip them of edible bits while they were still alive, also you'll note that in pretty much any Monster Collecting game I can think of you can't capture something that hit 0 HP, either it means they are dead or they have been too ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up to capture anyhow.

@Lydia XIII i disagree. If you reduce it to 0 HP the sprites indicate they are incapacitated, not dead. With the twirly eyes and all. Choosing to give them a finishing blow and taking the materials or capturing makes sense. You don't have to agree that it should be possible but the sprites do not indicate thay are dead at all.

Technically yes; there are NPCs that you can sell Pals to. There is one in the small village on the starting island
