Requesting help on setting up dedicated host community server
Hello!

Sorry to be a bother. Trying to play with friends and we're having issues seeing the server show up in the Community server list. I see it in my recently joined, as I connected to it as I'm the local host.

I allowed the TCP and UDP ports of 8211 in my firewall.

I followed the steps of doing the launch options.

I did the SteamAppID .bat file, the -EpicApp=PalServer

I even changed the "PalWorldSettings.ini" ini file with a unique server name, password; so I know when it's properly visible and not to be confused with the many default named servers "my palworld server" etc.

Any help would be appreciated, or a quick discord call!

Thank you so much!

take the - off of the arg. It's just EpicApp=PalServer
Also once you run it like that it's still hit or miss as to when it will show in community servers because there are SO many of them and they aren't loaded in any sort of order that makes sense. Have your people search the server name you set and keep clicking community server before refreshing the search. Mine will show up between 10-20 refresh/search attempts. Once they connect once it will be in recents and no longer an issue.

and if i get timeouts when attempting to join it via recents? Is that common? Or means I still have some kind of firewall rule blocking my join attempts?
