It was half the cost it is now at launch and for a few hours. Its only the past 1-2 hours they have doubled the price of the game for some reason. Is that even legal to do? the games not even a 1.0 release when other devs normally do that, its early access...

The dev announced, in the early access FAQ pre-launch, that it will be US$29.99 adjusted regionally. If it was AUD$17, that was a pricing error.

Technically they can do whatever they want with the price. If you publish a game on Steam you can set every country but 1 to $100. So you could have it be $10 in Finnland and $100 everywhere else.

this is wrong. my brother bought it at launch for $17 AUD. I said to him 'eh ill buy it later". I checked now and its now $35 AUD.
Lets say the price was an error. Its not a good look when everyone basically got it half price until now. What new player would knowingly pay double the price especially if they saw the Steam page earlier in the day and the price was half of what it is now.

You can look up all steam game prices on SteamDB and even there it says the price of the game always was $39.55 AUD
