I dont even like open world games that much but for some reason the mix of guns, pals, and building a home for my pals really does it for me

it's probably because its lore accurate pokemon, many pokemon have entries that outright say they eat humans and other pokemon.

Don't forget a part of that goes to Steam (30% tax), and regional price purchases also gives less, but it's very possible they still reach those big numbers since the game barely released.

After 10 million they only take 25% and after 50 million they only take 20%

Calling them PALs has me already sold. I just like the creature catching aspect mixed with survival aspects. I think that is a cool idea.
