Dedicated Server Settings Not Applying
I've downloaded dedicated server from steam on a separate PC, i've looked at the default world settings file where it tells me to change the ini file further in the folders but when I change player numbers, or port numbers or add passwords it does not seem to take these changes. Am I missing something or just stupid?

Default download path was C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PalServer

In there, there is a "DefaultPalWorldSettings" file that explains how it works but says nothing in that file will do anything. It points you to click on the "Pal" folder in that location then Saved\Config\WindowsServer and in this folder there is a PalWorldSettings.ini file to modify for settings. This makes sense as other games I have hosted work just like this.

I have taken the contents from the default world settings file and pasted them into the worldsettings.ini and made my changes and saved but when I load into the world, those changes are not made. Things like password on the world, number of players allowed on the world etc.

Weird note, the worldsettings.ini was empty before I put anything in there which is different from other games I have hosted. Usually there is a default set of settings in there.

Just an update on this, I see there are some settings that can't be changed yet and I was thinking maybe I was just changing those. However, I tried to set an admin password in the settings file and my server tells me there is no admin password set. I am stumped.

Looks like a formatting issue. I just got mine working. Copy and paste the WHOLE text from the default config file and paste it into the worldsettings.ini. Let me know if that works and I will assist from there
