There was an official statement a few minutes ago saying they were aware of the problem and are investigating the issue. Their servers exceeded their maximum capacity and it is causing multiplayer issues.

Official post on their website. Apparently multiplayer uses their servers/info to create games.

Coop session creation, login, etc. failing.
Update - We are continuing to work on a fix for this issue.

Identified - The system capacity of the external vendor appears to be exceeded. We are currently investigating the details.

To resolve this issue, you need to ensure that the UDP port 8221 & 8211 is allowed on your network. You can open this port on your internet router.
