Timer on the boss!?!?!!? WHY!?!?
I use nearly all my resources fighting this boss and get him down to 10% hp barely surviving the entire time and then it just insta-kills me and tells me I ran out of time!?!!?? This needs to be removed or at the very least be removable with a server setting. I don't have any hair any more because I just pulled it all out.

typical game mechanic " Hard Enrage " you dont win in the alloted time so you either are to "weak" or just werent offensive enough

It's a stupid thing some devs use in their games to prevent players from turtling a boss.

It's not a bossfight it's a time trial. Don't expect wonders though, you are playing a game directly inspired by genshin impact.

DPS check exist in all games. get stronger ? come back later ? Is it a possibility in this case ?

I just did one of these fights...about five times.

I dont think its bad. I tried it early on, and was clearly to weak. got to lvl 17 and the fight went better. I took pals that were strong to the bosses lightning. and the bird i took got about half the boss half gone pretty quickly..

Play around with it a bit. there is a solution.

dps check is when your damage wasn't applied in a way to succeed. This is a forced failure based on a set time, if it were a dps check it would be a game mechanic not a timer.

No, DPS checks are typically just a math problem. You either have the damage or you don't.

Dude what. DPS itself is a math problem. It's a quantity of damage cumulative over a set time, a failed fight based on dps would mean it was inadequate, not that the time itself was arbitrarily stated to fail, which at that point isn't justified by dps as a success option. It's not a game mechanic, nor is a dps check a math problem, it's a mechanic for gameplay, which a time gate is not. A time gate is the complete opposite, is meant to be used to inhibit gameplay for one reason or another (such as preventing the player from taking actions inside a menu, etc).

The boss timer is painful. I've beaten and captured pretty much everything else but the bosses I care to, and since I can't do enough DPS to beat them, I've mostly just stopped playing as there's little else to do but grind for grinding's sake.

At least they didn't do stupid quick time events, but the boss timers are lame enough.

if you cant fulfill the required dps conditions with your current setup, comeback with more levels, better gear, and better pals, and better tactics. its that simple

ive always thought dps checks were more for...preventing say an enrage mechanic. yes its timed but...theres always a mechanic you are trying to prevent. Not a auto loss, at least from the ones ive experienced.

Regardless im curious cause i havent beaten any of the other bosses besides the first(I dont see the point) do they get that difficult?
