I much prefer to keep my HUD permanently on.
i never know how many arrows or pokeballs i have
It's not great, especially when you're losing health due to the environment and can't see why or how much. The contextual sensitivity of the HUD and customization is definitely lacking.
Here's a MOD you can use:
- Normal fade out for the HUD is 5s
- MOD can make it faster at 3s fade out
- MOD can make it slower at 10s fade out
- MOD can also allow it to ALWAYS STAY ON
Oddly there is no setting to keep it always off (I've seen some people want that too).
Personally, the bottom HUD stuff, I want always on, as I like being able to see if my weapon is loaded, how much spheres I have and what is selected as well as being able to see the CD of the grapple hook.
I also always want to be able to check up on my HP, hunger, the temp and the in game time of day. All of which fades out way to quickly in my opinion.....
If any type of fading happened, I would prefer it if it faded to being half transparent (or something like that), where you can now see through it, but it is still there for you to look at. Then when using stuff like currently, it becomes fully solid.
So an opacity setting for the fade would be ideal......
But this MOD seems to be the closest thing that works.
