Dedicated working but not visible in servers
As per the title, got the dedicated up and running and it works connecting to it through the ip, but does not show up in community servers even after 40 min. The main reason I want to fix this is so I'm able to put a password on it because currently if you join through ip there is no option to enter password so it softlocks you out of the server. Really would like to be able to put a password on it as I had to take it off to join into it through ip. If anyone else had similar experiences or has advice feel free to chime in ~
Thanks in advance

My friend and I have the same problem. The issue is there is a second port you need to forward for the game to show on the list. Not getting a reply from anyone, I guess nobody knows. Following thread.

For me i had to forward 8221, 8211. i'm hearing mentions of 27015 for it to be visible. also been told you need to add "epicapp=palserver" to the launch options.

so far, porting 27015 and using the "epicapp=palserver" hasn't worked

Thank you very much, it helped me to have it appear on the list.

can people actually join yours, mine shows up on the list but everyone times out trying connect to it
did you use steamcmd? because I cannot generate the server files from running the exe downloaded via steamcmd....

to make the server visible you have to create a BAT file where the game EXE is and use this, whatever your APPID is when you launch the game is what you put where it says YOURAPPID. this made my server visible

@Echo off
set SteamAppId=YOURAPPID
PalServer.exe -EpicApp=PalServer

Put this where the game EXE is or the Server EXE?

Do you have to port forward on your router?

Also the comment on the YOURAPPID, where can that be found? When you visit the store page for PALWORLD and see it in the URL?

Thank you!

I found mine once I launched the Dedicated Server EXE through Steam
You can find the app id as soon as you launch the .exe it will display in the black box.

Using the .bat script and forwarding port 27015 has worked for me (in addition to 8211 and 8221) and putting the public IP in the .ini

Hmm shoot yeah I see it now but still no idea.

I created new Firewall rules for UDP/TCP port 8211.

Created a palserver.bat file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PalServer

With the above mentioned stuff.

Added it to launch options, honestly getting so frustrated. Even disabled firewall to just be sure it's not a port issue
