Greyed out for me too on a 3070 on Gamepass version.

Is everyone here with the issue using the Gamepass version of the game?

That's where the nvngx_dlss.dll is.
The games dlss version is 3.1.30.0.
It's just dlss 2 v3.
Framegeneration would be nvngx_dlssg.dll
Reconstruction would be nvngx_dlssd.dll

I have the latest gpu drivers and use rtx 4070, works fine for me.
You could try changing out the dlss file with dlss swapper.

Its part of the update past 0.1.0.0 Game Pass put out the wrong version of the game so no DLSS or gameplay fixes for us also you can't play with Steam friends because they are on 0.1.2.0 with their copy.

nvngx_dlssg.dll (frame gen)

DLSS 3 is not locked to 40xx series, just DLSS 3 Frame Generation is. DLSS 3's upscaling feature works on 20xx/30xx and 40xx cards.

Dll file in the game just gives dlss v3, framegen is an entirely separate dll file.
And yeah, dlss 3 is supported by rtx 2k series and upwards and think maybe some version of rtx 1660 or whatever those 1k series gpus were.

Mine isn't grayed out or anything. I can toggle it to whatever. It doesn't actually DO anything, though. It only shows your setting choice and just continues running on whatever AA was set to.

So, even though you can mess with the DLSS settings on the Steam version, they have no actual effect on the game.

I just think most people haven't noticed it yet. You have to be running on a 20 series or better, and be playing on Steam to even have the option. Even then, I don't think many people closely compared differed settings profiles. They probably just opened setting right away, set DLSS to balanced or quality, and started playing, not realizing they are actually running with TSAA or something instead of DLSS. The game LOOKS good, it's just using way more resources than it would with DLSS.

This is very common for console and game pass games as they can often be a few updates behind their PC version if the game is not cross play as the companies can take weeks to push the updates out after they certify them.

DLSS 3 is frame gen, there are no quality options for it and it works different than DLSS2, which is upscaling.

I updated my driver and is still greyed out on gamepass and my version is still 0.1.0.0 but I had an update maybe it was even lower than that before.

DLSS turned off for newest NVIDIA drivers and I have 4070

I got the game now also on steam and on steam I can use it with a 2060, but it's still greyed out on the gamepass version.

Well, the game pass version is now at 0.1.1.2 and DLSS is still greyed out. Man, us game pass users just get constantly screwed over.
