Black screen

Hi everyone,

When I launch the game, I get the first load which lasts 5 seconds and then nothing, black screen, I have more than enough config to run it. Am I the only one in this situation?

Starting was an admin solve the blackscreen but now i have this message:
Failed to login. Error: ULoginDefaultOnlineSubsystemASyncFunction::Activate() failed

do you have an issues for solve it ?

[Gamepass Version] starting the game as admin alsof fixed it for me!

Can confirm. EOS is part of the game after checking the installed files and testing it myself by commenting out the api portion of epicgames from my HOSTS file and getting the game to finally launch to the menu. I've waited upwards of 15 minutes with it present and never gotten past the black screen.

Renaming the EOSSDK-Win64-Shipping DLL allows the game to launch as well, but no multiplayer is allowed with that done.

Manually check your graphics drivers, as automatic updates may be lying to you when it says you have the latest. Running as admin did not help me, but updating the graphics card did and Palworld is running now

If you go your file location, right clicking, going to properties, compatibility, then checking 'Disable full screen optimizations' and 'Run this program as an administrator' the game should start working if you're lucky.

For XboxGP users, ive created a shortcut of the game and run it as admin. It works

- Tried Steam and Xbox game pass versions.
- Tried not running as admin, and tried Running as admin
- Tried "Disable Full Screen Optimizations" while running as admin.
- Tried updating graphics drivers.
- Tried setting network to public config as well as private.
- Verified and repaired on both versions.
- Reinstalled both versions.
- Tried waiting at least 15 minutes, on both versions and:
- I restarted my computer every time I tried a new solution.

No luck.

Intel i5-12600KF
32gb Ram
installed on M.2 980 Pro EVO 2TB

[Edit] after 3 fresh reinstalls on Steam, the game finally works on Steam. Don't even run any of the above mentioned solutions aside from new graphics driver.

Xbox Still no dice.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE A BLACK SCREEN ON THE XBOX GAME PASS

I spent all day trying to solve this, I did everything, from running it as admin to messing with the dll. Nothing worked. (I seriously did everything)
I was now able to get the game to run. The problem is with the xbox login authentication. Before I had changed some permissions on my PC's Xbox to help with optimization, so before I had created a restore point, so I just restored it and it ran. For those of you who are still experiencing this black screen problem, I recommend uninstalling the Xbox app again.
