Uninspired and copy/pasted Pokemon skins.

This game might come off as interesting to say the least, but I am annoyed that the dev just copy/pasted Pokemon skins. There seems to be nothing original here, but it might be a fun play.

The art style is pretty similar yes, but the gameplay is very different.

Any similarities to Pokemon is purely superficial.

Are the pokemon designers just copy pasting real life animals? they don't all have to be crazy unique. There's only so many "chibi-ish animal monster" variants the human mind can come up with. Yes there's a few obvious references but personally I find them fun.

Well because no matter how much they tried to make the pal's uniqueness to look there'll be complains of how uninspired/strange it looks. Because the way i see it pokemon has taken a wide spot in most of us's brain and they wouldn't able to accept anything that isn't having pokemon vibe in it.

Lamball.... is a sheep. Wooloo from pokemon is.... you guessed it. A sheep.
How different would you like the sheep to be. Please. enlighten us on how you would make a more epic sheep. We all would love to hear.

EVERY creature capture game WILL be reminiscent of pokemon. Because it was the first. EVERY voxel game will be reminiscent of minecraft.
EVERY story generator / city builder will be reminiscent of dwarf fortress.

This is not a bad thing. Every genre started somewhere. But remind me again, please, of which pokemon game I can fire rockets in while riding my polemon into battle after building my castle. By all means, point me to that pokemon version, and I will go play it.

Polemon has like 1000 pokes.... One is a damn ice cream cone. Literally just an ice cream cone. At this point how to you make ANYTHING that isn't technically a currently existing pokemon? right? O_O like. What do these people want.

You can also like both games you know, its not like you have to choose one or the other. Me? I gave up on pokemon back in the gameboy/gba era as each game was basically the same crap over and over again. At least Palworld is trying something different with it. I mean they have guns and so do you, thats sort of new for a pokemon-like game.

If I did have to name a game Palworld did rip off of the most I'd have to say Ark Survival evolved. Even the whole tech tree and stat system is a direct copy of Arks. Though Palword does let you do much more automation with the Pals than you can with Ark and the dino's.

Palworld to me seems like a nice combo of Ark, Pokemon and Satisfactory, and it looks like they blended it together pretty well from what I have seen so far. I look forward to playing it in a day or so. Most likely going to get xbox gamepass for pc as there is a few other games on there I'd like to play as well. Kinda be a waste to JUST get it for palworld imo but since there is several other games on it I wanna play its worth it for me.

There is over a 1000 Pokemon now so of course some of the monster concepts in this game are going to look similar to Pokemon, especially when you are comparing the game to Pokemon over and over.
