Don't stress on the unknown. Pretty sure they can do nothing because they made their own designs and there are other games that were pokemon inspired and they are fine.
There's nothing about this game that I can see that would be just grounds for a copyright case.
I can't really blame them these days though.. cause fans are making better games from their IP's than Nintendo are putting out XD
as long as something doesn't directly violate ip (which most fan games/projects do) there isn't much if anything to be done.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's actually been dialogue behind the scenes where Nintendo have proverbially marked their territory and Pocketpair have carefully avoided trespassing on it.
They also absolutely have no legal grounds to do anything to palworld. Even the very obvious "ripoffs" like inceneram and the cobalion look alike are distinct enough to not get sued. You are talking out of your ass.
Palworld is a much different game. There's zero chance it gets shut down. Nintendo doesn't own creature capture.
this is genuinely good advice. i live my life by not stressing or worrying about anything outside of my control. sometimes, even things directly within my control i dont worry about. the universe has a way of working itself out, in my experience. stress does not help anything and can only make things worse or lead you to make a mistake that makes the situation worse.
I do wonder how they got away with making this game too so i understand your concern. you dont want to put money into this game only for it to get sued and shut down. understandable concern, ive had too many of my favorite games get shut down for various legal reasons.
but, at least consider this, they probably talked to a lawyer extensively about this project, and im sure they had a lawyer on retainer while making this game. a lawyer probably okayed every single thing in the game because theres no way they made this game without checking with a lawyer first, theres just no way.
