Hosting a server really isnt that complicated. Usually involves opening a text document to edit the options. Seeing what ports the server uses for internet traffic. Opening those ports on your router. Then just running the program and boom server is up.
And some servers are special, some servers are run on linux with certain flags, etc. etc.
To have the wiki up now would be much more useful, especially for things like operating system, RAM requirements, etc.
