It's impossible to not "steal ideas" from Pokemon when they have a literal ice cream cone, candelabra, and garbage pile as Pokemon. Game freak isn't the bastion of innovation in design and their games are the definition of derivative. Pokemon games have declined into just something to do, are far too easy with no difficulty options, and they hardly run on switch.
Palworld feels like all the things a rational person would think of in the Pokemon universe, all the things game freak is afraid to try. It's fun because all the elements work and make sense. It's like Pokemon mixed with Monster Hunter and survival games. Best of all, it has dedicated servers for 32 players in early access with tons of settings to tweak the difficulty and how it plays. That is unheard of and all but guarantees the game will be mod-friendly and have a long life, even if the dev studio closes. I bought this to try because it was cheap and looked interesting and it is surprisingly good. It isn't perfect but it is exceedingly entertaining.
Game sold a million copies. Your opinion really doesn't mean much.
You don't hit 1.2 million concurrent players by releasing pure crap... It's disingenuous to suggest sd such
Not gonna lie, I was pretty proud to see those numbers. I can't play yet, but I'm keeping track of launch week in the interim. I was not expecting these kinds of numbers this early, even for launch.
All the effort and wind-up in the pre-release week to make it look like it was going to flop... is utterly hilarious in retrospect.
Survival games x pokemon is a pretty popular mix, in a void of current releases. Game deserves its praise for even hitting this number at all, but like I said early really not going to matter until six months later when the initial excitement is done, we see how quickly the devs push out content, and how it holds up to the other big survival game releases.
I don't expect quick updates, personally. Pocketpair's historically slow, if consistent, with content releases. But who knows.
Before you comment on anything, you still need to address how Palworld is in violation of copyright. I provided you the legal case of Asteroids Vs Meteors which showcases that it is not. You've yet to match. Until you do such thing, don't comment on anything else.
