DLSS not available with an rtx compatible card
I'm playing the Gamepass version so i cannot speak on behalf of the steam copy but for me I am unable to access dlss, fsr3 or xess which should all be supported with my hardware from my understanding.

I only have available UE taau and UE tsr to choose from.

I have an rtx 3090 on driver version 552.44 and my os is windows 10 pro 22H2

Anyone else having similar issues with the gamepass version or here on steam?

On Steam we support FSR3, DLSS, XeSS and Unreal Engine Temporal Super Resolution (TSR).

And on Epic Online Store we also support the same as Steam.

To add more information, we have some technical limitations due to the difference between how the Game Pass and Steam / Epic Store versions are built. Unfortunately this means that other upscaling options aren't available in the Game Pass version.

The PS5, Xbox X|S, and WinGDK (PC Game Pass) versions all have the same options. While we added extra upscaling options to the Steam and Epic Store versions. Adding them to WinGDK would require a custom coded solution.

Thank you for your feedback. We are a small team and we want to help as many people play on a wide range of hardware so we will let everyone know if it's possible for us to create an update to add this feature in the future.

Very disappointing.

The issue seems big, but taking money from Gamepass user doesnt seem to be an issue at all!

Does Microsoft not provide any support to developers for this?

This is not the first game pass version of a game I see struggling with upscaling, it's ridiculous that Microsoft doesn't offer guidance when it's clearly possible to integrate the other options.
Grom Jun 18, 2024 @ 7:13am
There are many games on Gamepass with this DLSS issue eg Ark, Palworld, Darktide, Forza… it’s better to lobby Microsoft and Nvidia to solve this.

Can't have Upscalers because the Gamepass app is broken? absolute lies, Hellblade 2 came out not too long ago and they implemented all of them.

This came from a dev in their discord.

Not for DLSS and XeSS, as they are not available on the Xbox machines.

Glad you're aware of this.
Please let the community know ASAP when this update is live. I'd love to try it then.
Although it might be hard to reach the game pass audience. Post it on the game pass reddit if and when it's availible

I thought custom code solutions were a matter of software and game developers. It's a crazy expectation, I guess.

Why release on gamepass if you've clearly only bothered to optimise with DLSS in mind? Performance is garbage without
DS Omen Jun 18, 2024 @ 7:59am
I'll play the game when you have DLSS in the game pass version, hope this is in progress. Congrats on the launch :).

Basically you guys cant be bothered to fix your game on a platform where other games offer those features, and games that use the same unreal engine.

You even left the text in this version of the game stating that they are offered, when they are not, and you even included the license documents in the games files.

Yet you have locked these important features away behind a paywall to entice more people to buy your 4-6 hours linear game. This is shameful, and in a way is false advertising as the game on gamepass still clearly states that these features should be present.

its either sheer incompetence, or you are deliberately only including these features in the full price version of the game for a reason..
