Store page says Minimum RTX 2050
...but could it still be playable on a GTX 1080? I have i7 8700k CPU. I also have ROG Ally, but I guess it's unplayable on that one too.

Edit: Noticed it says playable on Steam Deck, so I guess I'll be able to play it after all. Not sure if I'll get good frames but yeah...

GTX 1080 is better than RTX 2050. It has got double the RAM and Steamdeck shares RAM with the CPU

I'm still giving it a try on my GTX 1070. At worse I refund only if the game won't launch.

the 2050 is worse than a 1080, so probably yes

I didn't know that. I thought all the RTX cards were better than the GTX ones. I guess I'll try the game and refund it if it doesn't perform well.

The gtx 1080 is about the performance of an rtx 2080 as long as Ray tracing is off. At least it was a few years ago. Driver support may have improved more for the 2080. But typically in rasterization the 1080 would be stronger than a 2050-2070.

I bet your 1070 is better than a 2050. xx50 is not a tier of gpu anyone should buy for gaming. A 2060 is about 25% faster than a 1070, so a 2050 might be close, there's limited videos or articles on this comparison but xx50 is not a base line to really take seriously.

That's just not true. Ridiculous to say this, sorry.

Generally speaking, I'd go by the performance metrics of other games that use UE5 and Lumen/Nanite. I have an i5 10400, RTX 3060 Ti and 16 GB of RAM. Robocop: Rogue City, which also uses UE5 and Lumen/Nanite, gives me roughly 60-70 average FPS, with only drops to 40-50 in heavily reflective areas (Lumen reflections are performance heavy). This is also at TSR 67% resolution scaling. So assume that you'll probably need at minimum more likely an RTX 2070 for this game. And that's only for Low/Medium. I was playing at Epic settings.

2050 is worse than a 1070 too. a 1070 is an Excellent card and plays anything really well. The last two numbers are what mostly determines the power of the card. a 70 or 80 will almost always beat any 50.

I remember this guy was bragging to me about his gaming laptop he bought for his son and then he told me it had a 3050 in it............ and I cringed and didn't have the heart to say oooof shoulda paid a couple hundred more for a better card...... and I know how all laptop cards are worse then the desktop version..... so really it was a 3040....? lmao

I mean I know a 3050 will still run basically any game but I couldn't help but get the ick from it lmao

Do you think a 1070 beats a 3050... what about a 4050? xD

Nonsense. 2080ti is 30-50% better performance than 1080ti. Check the tests across the internet

The reason for listing RTX series as a minimum requirement might be because they support some technologies that 1000 series and lower don’t have. And they may be necessary for some UE5 features in this game. Same as Alan Wake 2 wouldn’t launch on anything less than 2060 on release. So yeah.
