You are ridiculous. It's about 6 hours not 4, and it's not a point and click game but FPP game.
Besides every game can be watched on YT from the start to the end.
Nobody is forcing you to buy it on Day 1.

All I can say after seeing footage is that, if you were disappointed after the hype that built up for Fort Solis, I would not expect this game to be any different from that.

Fort Solis was a huge letdown in terms of the scare factor. That game was simply not scary, but boring and extremely slow-paced.
SWTD seems way scarier than FS, and that's a big plus in my opinion.

Watching something isn't the same as experiencing it.

People can wait for sales, find deals for it etc. No one is forced to buy a game on release. That's what the sheep/whales are for.

I just hope they release a demo but if it's really short, I doubt they'll bother making one. It would have been helpful on letting someone know how it'll run for them, before they drop the money on it.

I do agree that the price is a bit high. I'm sure they are mostly charging that price for how it looks, rather than what it offers.

"Indika" is $25+ (+tax) and lasts bout the same length as this (4-5 hours long to finish) another Indie Dev.

I can understand your arguments and yeah if it´s just 4 hours 30dollars would be a little bit too much, but discovering by myself is better than watching it. 4 or 6 really good hours could be worth the money. In my opionon it much more worthy than 50+ hours of open world grindfest action....

i agree that i will happily pay $25-30 for a 4-7 hour thriller game instead of another bloated open world game with useless quests. there are so many open world games that are good but not any in recent time. the tightly crafted games have been better this and last year, even the action packed ones.

If you care that much about the price maybe find another hobby? Or wait for sale. There are options man, you dont need to buy a game if you think price is too high

arguably I feel like you can even make something the most impactful within only less than 10 hours. Def helps with tight pacing a way too and a bit more convenient to play since I really don't have time to finish long games since I got work to do n such.

but yeah just wait for sale if you can. 35? Not too bad a base price compare to say Hellblade 2 which def goes 50, alot too high with that for me if getting the similar deal.

Got a point why charge 35 for a 4-6 hour game. I think they’ll get more money selling it for 20. However people worked on it so need paid and there is the issue- economies are expensive so wages need to meet that.

And you are in denial.

I've watched a full playthrough, and
It's a linear corridor 4hr movie with no player agency and no replayability.

Gr8 B8 M8.
Game is worth whatever people pay for it. I am gonna get it full price and don't care if it's not worth it to other people. I may not feel the same if this was some random dev, but as it's a game company that make what I feel are pretty great experiences... I do not mind.

You want me to stream it for you?

It seems they got their region pricing off a bit AUD 45 vs 41 NZD once converted via steamDB this game should not even be near RRP of $50 AUD lol more like 30.
