Trouble with the "escape" quicktime event during the Rennick chase

Been stuck on the Rennick chase at the end for awhileee now. Figure it's mostly my own fault but I can't seem to figure out at what rate I should be clicking when Rennick grabs Caz right after the squeeze. I've tried clicking as fast as I can (I'm not the fastest in the world but by no means *bad*), didn't work, didn't even make it a quarter to success. Tried a more moderate pace, didn't seem to get any further. Tried holding down longer between the clicks, didn't seem to help.
Had some similar trouble with Rodney, but I figured it out soon enough. This I just can't seem to get right, and I've refreshed the game aswell. I also watched part of a let's play, they seemed to get though it just fine, couldn't tell what they were doing right that I wasn't.

Any advice would be appriciated

Didn't think of that at all, but it doesn't seem to be helping much in my case. I tried some other different rebindings while I was at it, like the regular keyboard keys, but none seem to do much. I'm still stuck on that very first segment of the loading bar.

It's weird how I've not seen this issue reported at all since launch, then I see it twice within the space of a few days!

Try “Device Input Type - Press Only” and “Reaction Window - 5s”

I hope that helps a bit, as others have said it could be due to what looks like a quite low framerate, unless it’s just an effect of your phone camera. You could try reducing your graphics settings for this one scene then putting them back after you succeed!

I hope that helps a bit, as others have said it could be due to what looks like a quite low framerate, unless it’s just an effect of your phone camera. You could try reducing your graphics settings for this one scene then putting them back after you succeed!

After a few tries it still doesn't seem to help. However you guessed correctly that my framerate is quite low, I reduced the graphics at the beginning of the game and it helped massively. But as the game progressed the framerate reduced, at this point in the game it's honestly atrocious, so that's probably the reason.

Really sorry to hear that. Do you know if you have the latest graphics driver update, and if your system meets the minimum spec? Are you using upscalers like DLSS or FSR3?
