If You Fear Being Chased **Possible Spoilers**
I have clinically diagnosed PTSD and being chased is a pretty big trigger for me, so I wanted to place a review for other horror enthusiasts who saw the reviews for Story Mode and decided to give this a try after being promised it was safe and that SM removes the monsters, makes the AI less intelligent, and whatever else.

I accidentally swapped between the two difficulty settings when I dropped my controller while high and selected whatever it landed on and landed myself in Hell and then found out it was still Hell, regardless of which mode I was in, after trying to figure out why I was struggling and swapping back to Story mode. The AI is still intelligent and the monsters are still 100% present in the same manner they are for the Standard Mode. If they are slower, it is marginally so. If it takes them longer to see you, it is, again, marginally less time. There are still the same amount of jump scares, button mashing, "saving throws", sneaking events, and chase scenes regardless of which option you take. Every review I saw stated there were "only 2-3 chase scenes" and I am here to warn you, there are not. After 12 hours of playing, I ran into over ten chase scenes, 15 if you count the last 10% of the game where there were 3-6 smaller sequences where you have to break free and continue running while the rig is coming down around you.

I know a lot of players are going to say, "Just push through it and get good." I know, as someone with PTSD, how much that can backfire, especially with chase scenes. The game is GREAT. The story-line is phenomenal and if you can handle it, I absolutely encourage you to play it. But if chase scenes and not being able to fight back are triggers for you, please pass on this. Your mental health isn't worth a game and even Story Mode is pretty hardcore if that is a fear.
