Gamepass - Quick time event always fails

In flooded engineering and after climbing the railings to a platform where you have to jump to a ladder. Holding the right-mouse button after jumping and then holding the left-mouse button to hold on always fails. It is impossible to pass this section.

You have to keep hold of the right mouse button all the time, even when pressing the left or you will let go, if you can't do it, you might have a crap mouse that can only send one button input at once.

I actually encountered this same issue on controller, and eventually had to start holding LT well before the prompt appeared while climbing the ladder, or I would always fall off before the LT “circle” filled up.

can someone explain how to pass qte while freeing myself from a monster. I have an event when a monster catches me underwater and I have to use the mouse button or x (playing on a pad) to free myself. But every time despite clicking the progress bar does not go up and I die... How to do these events correctly because I am afraid that my pad will not handle further defeats
