*SPOILER* STUCK IN THE LIFT, game breaking bug?

I think I've found a game breaking bug...
I just got to the point where you meet up with Brodie and need to fix the flare stack, left his cabin onto the Processing Quad, shimmied across the ledges and got into the lift. Hit the button to go down, lift goes down, then stalls and falls for a bit. Then nada. Tried jumping and interacting with everything in the lift but nothing is interact-able. Looked up a walk through and apparently the lift stalling is supposed to attract Addair, who will try and get in, bashing down the door and allowing you to climb up and escape. Addair never appeared throughout, although I can hear his voice I never saw him since leaving Brodie's cabin, and the gate on the lift remains closed and can't be interacted with. I've tried reloading the game but Addair still won't appear. Anyone else had this happen? Am I gonna have to start the game again? Pretty sure I'm nearly at the end :(

oh damn that sucks, yeah Addair should have tried to bash the door and break the door in letting you sneak around again. :(((

Same issue here, can't progress at all. Tried changing difficulty, backtracking, restarting game, nothing.

Hmm so I guess the only remedy is to start a new game and hope the same issue doesn't happen again, which is less then ideal since I haven't experienced any other issues so far, other than the general poor PC optimisation and I'm pretty sure I'm nearing the end of the game. I was enjoying the setting and story but don't really want to start the whole thing again after playing it all night and risk the same issue just happening again. Guess I'll just wait for an update and come back to it later :(

I can kinda kite him around, hes "standing" in front of the gate but not doing anything accept being idle.

Also having this issue on the xbox version of the game just to give more visibility. Tried everything I can think of to self-fix

I'm having the same issue. Tried to jump down the first ledge you need to shimmy across. This worked but unfortunately I triggered a new check point when running to the lift. And now I'm stuck under the crew lift. See screenshots.

Hey all. We're still looking into this as a critical priority. Can I just get confirmation from people that you cannot restart from a checkpoint to solve the situation and there's no way of uh... meeting your untimely demise to respawn (and if you can, does that fix the issue?)

Dying and loading checkpoint does not fix the issue. 9/10 times addair will stay in the same spot and not move to the gate, and the other 1/10 he will move up to the gate but not break it down.

Things I’ve tried

- Loading checkpoint 10+ times
- Restarting game & console
- Changing difficulty then reloading
- Stayed in the lift and moved around for 10 minutes trying to trigger the event
- Left the game on for 5+ hours
- Walking back to the start of the area to maybe reload something

Nothings worked

Update:

I can drag addair over to the lift door every time now by sending the lift down and getting off. After dropping back down he still won’t open it though
