I mostly overlooked the mandatory negative reactions and chose to trust they are a part of the building narrative and will eventually bond with Olive and come to a satisfying end.
But it would be nice if there was at least a more neutral option, like "keep hiding" instead of just bite or scratch.
Additionally, the game presents an interesting opportunity to select a cat that may look like one the player has known in real life. This creates a heightened sense of conflict with the narrative if the player chose a cat that reminds them of their own pet. My beloved childhood friend would have never been such a jerk to a sad old lady.
edited to add: I also like the suggestion of adding a neutral options mentioned previous poster.
I wishlishted the game.
Otherwise demo seems promising,
I had a similar feeling also with pushing the food later on, I wish I could decide if I want to push all the plates to get the food, it's not like it's big obstacles and preventing me from reaching it lol.
