DEMO launches at Steam Next Fest October 2024 + update on the new mechanics

Hello, Commanders!

As it turns out, the Pacific is not the easiest ocean to cross. However, we are slowly pushing forward. Now we’re back with an update for you.

The game is still in production. We are constantly working on expanding the available content to deliver the best possible product to you.

In the meantime, we've added a number of new mechanics and improved the existing ones.

What can you expect?

In some missions, you will have access to tanks - a very powerful unit, though it has its limitations.

From time to time, the command will be able to delegate a destroyer to assist you, providing artillery support. However, keep in mind that if misused, it can cause significant damage not only to the enemy.

These are just some of the new features that will be waiting for you...

The battles will take place on various Pacific islands. Among the many missions based on historical events, there will also be room for fictional scenarios, allowing you to experience alternate versions of history.

We have also prepared an additional tutorial mission to help you easily grasp all the basic game mechanics.

We also want to inform you that we are showcasing a demo of our game at the Steam Next Fest, which will take place this October. We want to give you a sample of our production to see if we’re heading in the right direction. Your feedback will help us plan our next steps.

Attention, Commanders!

We're thrilled to provide you with an exciting update on Radio Commander: Pacific Campaign. While the game is still in the process of development, we want to extend our sincerest apologies for the recent lack of communication. These past months have been a challenging period, during which we've been redesigning and enhancing various aspects of the game.

We've taken this time to revamp the game's design and elevate its visual aesthetics. These changes are not only aimed at delivering a more accessible and enjoyable experience for all players, but they also bring the game in line with current standards.

Although there's still a lot of work ahead, we're thrilled to report that we're making progress and remain firmly on course to deliver an exceptional gaming experience.

Your patience throughout this journey has been invaluable, and we want to assure you that we're fully committed to the game's development. Rest assured, Radio Commander: Pacific Campaign has not been abandoned

Will there be any degree of randomness making missions replayable? or what will be in place for longevity for the game?

Time to kill seems faster than previous games?

Seems that the TTK in general seems to be much faster than other games. Unless you outgun them at the very start of the engagement you take quite a number of casualties rapidly before other units can move into position. Or is it an issue of the ranges in which they engage in? Would be useful to know what the engagement ranges are of these units rather than having to just move them up and wonder if they stop to engage on contact or if they push towards the order regardless. Needs active pause ! (optional - please)

I played the Demo and would really like the game.

- I think it has a great atmosphere and feels almost realistic, with all the great historical maps and the authentic radio messages.

But I also think it's in dire need of a pause of some kind, because its difficult enough to quickly search for those coordinates in the radio reports and to understand what's going on on the battlefield - and/or what your startegic/tactical commanding-options are -, but it doesn't need this ur...

A couple of suggested features

1. If a unit reports its position, then its counter on the map moves there automatically. 2. Right-clicking on a unit counter brings up command menu/drop down.
