Orbital Turrets no longer generates shield

I been away from the game a bit and came back and noticed Orbital Turrets no longer create the shield, now just fire a single laser every few seconds, the wiki isn’t updated so just curious what patch this change is from. Kind of miss the shield but kind of don’t.

TLDR they changed the behavior, they still do it, buy is extremely rare.
