Indestructible Walls Near Spawn

What is this indestructible wall that is just a small circle near my starting area. Seems random and out of place.

Ah I will look into that. It is annoying. It can't even be removed with the chat mod that lets you remove tiles.

Are you able to place a torch on the other side? Sometimes on 1x1 walls or corners you can rub up against it and hold RMB while moving the mouse against the wall and eventually it'll find a torch spot.

Have you dropped the wall after the first 3 required bosses yet? I've seen somewhat similar things (though near the wall) that went away after I dropped it. (if that is what it is you'd be able to drop the wall by interacting with that after getting the ok to drop the wall)

Yes I have this is much closer to my spawn point

I have dug around it, it's a tiny section in a triangle as you can see so yeah I can place torches on it. I will try that and see if I can see in it.

Okay this is weird, I went back to the spot to take a photo and try to use a lamp and the walls gone now.....lol

Based on my observations, the game places those unbreakable walls in chunks it hasn't yet loaded for the first time, then removes them when the chunk is loaded; if you have a slow computer you can sometimes see it happening. Since your mysterious unbreakable walls were in a place they shouldn't have been and eventually disappeared, I'm going to assume it's in some way related to that chunk loading behavior. A corrupted section of the chunk which didn't load correctly at first, maybe?

I have a Ryzen 7900X and 4090 so it wasn't slow computer but it's possible something got wonked up there and then corrected itself. Thanks for the insight :)
