Pet bug

So my wife and I play multiplayer with each other. She hosts the world.
So we get some pets and I can level and apply perks as expected. Every pet she gets, at some point, sometimes quickly, other times 6 levels in, will no longer spend the perk point to upgrade. Nor allow for renaming.
We have tried trading the pet to me but to no avail.

I think it is a host bug for multiplayer as I haven't had any issues, but I have no idea what can be done to fix it on our end.
As an aside, we have been playing on the latest hotfix, the latest pet was found, hatched and raised under the latest patch.
Anyone having luck finding an answer?

i have had the bug in single, restarting the game fixed it.

Can confirm this worked.
Restarting the game fully, opening the world as a single player game did allow the pets to be upgraded.
Will still be an issue in multiplayer but at least there is a work around.

Yep, I was having the same issue. Putting a pet into storage seems to be the issue. It also prevents you from resetting their stats (but still takes your money ^^;)
