Cloud Save problems(as always)
Hello, I’m just stopping by to say that I almost lost my save using this game’s Cloud Saving feature.

I was playing Core Keeper on my PC and made some good progress. Since I also have a Steam Deck, I decided to shut down my PC and continue playing in bed.
Knowing that Cloud Saving can be a bit buggy, I closed the game properly, waited for the cloud to update, turned off my PC, and grabbed my Steam Deck.

On the Steam Deck, it showed as "CLOUD UPDATED," so I thought, "Great, let's play."
When I launched the game, I saw that the save was still from the PREVIOUS session. So I decided to CLOSE it, and when I did, it SAVED AGAIN TO THE CLOUD. At that point, I started to panic.

I rushed to turn my PC back on, opened the game, and saw that my progress was LOST THERE TOO.

Valve really needs to take a closer look at Cloud Saving on the Steam Deck, and the devs should consider implementing a safer way to retrieve lost saves.

Thankfully, Core Keeper has a CloudConflicts folder located in AppData\LocalLow\Pugstorm\Core Keeper. You can grab the maps, world, and saves files, overwrite the original files, and restore the conflict that occurred.
But I came so close to losing my save entirely.

I’m sharing this to raise awareness because this type of issue could completely kill some players' motivation to continue playing.
There are a lot of posts out there saying it’s a lost cause when this happens.
Anyway, just documenting this so people can be cautious. If it happens to you, try to find the Cloud Conflicts folder and recover your game.

Cheers!
