multiplayer?

how is the multiplayer in this game? does it make the game more fun? also does anyone know if the devs plan on an offline lan co-op? because ive read a couple threads talking about how bad the servers have been.

There are no servers. It's peer to peer.

It's online only multiplayer using p2p connection. I got 200 ping to my bf and the game still played smoothly, only thing not calculated clientside but instead the host's was moving items in inventory/chest which was probably to help with mitigating item duping glitch. Your experience might get worse with more players ingame though.

Are you sure about that? I've been having a lot of latency playing in the same house... I have a 500 mb connection speed as well.

If anything, it must at least be going out to another server before making the connection, even locally. There is no way it's connecting to local IP's for those playing locally in the same household. There needs to be custom IP settings if that's the case...

yeah, this is what i was worried about. well unless they change multiplayer then the Mrs and I wont be getting this game. which makes me sad because it looks fun and i think she would enjoy it :(
