Multiplayer broken?

been trying for about an hour, cant connect to friends, they cant connect to me, when we do eventually get connected, its with a ping of 30k+ and is unplayable..

it definitely was working a day or so ago, but I guess the sudden popularity is finally crushing the servers

hmm yeah no dice right now I just get a black screen with my hotbar UI up and then the connection closes

what servers? the game is mostly single player and I believe the connection is to the host.

hey they, acknowledged receipt of my bug report and notified me they will get back in touch within 2 working weeks.............
guess i'll go play literally any other multiplayer game since they work?

Same here. Played with a friend for like 2 hours, beat the first boss and then massive ping that just keeps going up.
